Subject: MacKenzie Rocks!!
From: Adam & Krystal on 11/19/2008

Our 4 yr old daughter said she wanted to be a Rockstar for Halloween this year so we thought… Okay- no problem Hannah Montana? Britney Spears? Pretty easy costume. “No,” she told us. I want to be the guy who wears white makeup with black on his eyes and has spikes on his shoulders. So we showed her a picture of KISS and she pointed at Gene Simmons and said, “That guy, I wanna be that guy!”

Here is Mackenzie in costume...she was a crack-up!

Thanks,

Adam & Krystal

Subject: Halloween Costumes
From: Greg on 11/19/2008

Here's pictures of my 2008 version of your Destroyer costume (check out how the front of the boots are supported entirely by the teeth), along with a somewhat embellished version of an Ace Frehley costume I made for a friend. We had a blast, and we were the hit of the evening everywhere we went on Halloween.

Subject: KISS, EVERY HALLOWEEN!
From: Lydia McCarthy on 11/19/2008

I wanted to tell you about a few gentlemen that dress in Kiss costumes every year for Halloween. One is a manager of a large grocery store meat market here, One also works at the same store, one is a dentist and has his own practice, the other is a senior at the local high school in town. They play Kiss songs on the PA system and lip sinc to the music. The Gentleman that does Gene has been doing this for 12 years the last two years they added the whole group. John's front yard is set up like a stage equipped with pyrotechnics.
These gentlemen were asked to do a show on New Years Eve this year.

I thought Gene would get a charge out of this story and the picture! :)

Subject: New KISS Album
From: tiggerbucca on 11/19/2008

Hey guys,

I've been a fan since 1982. I love your music and thank god that you've been around for most of my life. I think you should move forward with the plan to record a new album for all the fans. I think with the right packaging and new material it could be very successful. Maybe add a rare DVD to the packaging.

Love your music!

Subject: Possible new album
From: shupey on 11/19/2008

The words are still ringing in my head. Possible new KISS album?! AWESOME! Words cannot describe what reading those words means to me. I feel like 8 years old again, sitting in my bedroom early on Christmas Eve watching, waiting for Santa to deliver his stuff. The excitement is almost too much to take but I can wait. Anyway, I hope you guys do this and do it big. I'll be there, anywhere at 12:01 am on release day to get my hands on it for sure.

One BIG fan in small town Minnesota,
Mike

I just read the story that KISS is considering recording a new album! Best news I've heard in a LONG time!!! I can't tell you how excited this has made me. I know the album will rock! I can't wait to hear the finished product...but I'll have to. Thank you guys for adding more music to the legacy!

Thanks again,

Subject: new album??
From: kenneykerner on 11/19/2008

I just heard a rumor that you guys are thinking about recording a new studio album. I understand that you've had quite a successful career without my advice or opinions. Having said that, if I had any say in the project this is what I'd say:
*write 25 songs and pick the best 10
*use vintage instruments and amps
*record to 2" tape
*use vintage outboard gear, mics, console, etc.
*do not compress the living shit out of the recording
*Eric, play loose
*hire the right producer someone like Rick Ruben, Lenny Kravetz, or Beck
*study your old material '74-'78 as a reference point
*leave your big houses, nice cars, cell. phones and money behind. Fly to New York City to rent a shitty 10x12 rehearsal space with crap equipment and the stench of B.O. where you guys would have to share a pizza for dinner. This is where the new material should come from.
*say nothing about the project to anyone. No hype, no expectations
*write songs that get you off, do it for yourselves, forget about the fans, don't leave that 10x12 room until you have 10 songs that make you high five each other.

Kiss has entertained the hell out of me since I was 6 years old. In the 70's being a Kiss fan was magical and I cherish those memories. I still get that feeling when I listen to those old vinyl albums and still love them. Thanks guys for being there and allowing me and thousands of others to experience such a unique gift. I hope that you have safe, happy, and healthy holidays. Peace.
